Just in case anyone was wondering about 'Monty' (seen here 'reading' with my daughter).... it is official, we are going to be keeping him. Sadly no one claimed him so a new pen was ordered from Amazon which arrived today. Welcome to the family 'Monty' :D xxx
My daughter found a young male guinea pig near to Blyford bridge, Wenhaston, early morning Friday 26th September. He is white with pink eyes and pale ears. He was in a pretty bad way - dirty and thin - so we have bathed him and are looking after him until his owner can be found.
I have contacted the local vets so they are aware as well. If no one claims him then we are happy to keep him but he is so friendly he has obviously been well cuddled and loved, his owner must be missing him. If anyone knows who he might belong to please contact me.
In the meantime we are calling him 'Monty'.... just because :D xxx
I'm having this week off work as holiday. I'm not going away anywhere as I was planning on having a good sort out of things at home. Instead I found a scarf which I had started knitting a few years ago and had put aside unfinished, well I picked it up again and while watching a couple of films managed to get it finished... it's one of those soft fluffy yarns (like frayed ribbon) in a jewel bright pink and purple blend. It took just 4 x 50g, balls, cast on 35 in plain knitting, and I used large 9mm knitting needles so it has a light lacy feel.
I found another 4 balls in a blue and green blend so gonna knit that up today!
I also found up a ball of I-cording... I was planning to re-knit that up as a scarf (wow that would be seriously chunky) but I've decided instead to make some massive knitting needles from dowling and knit up a blanket!! That may take me some time.
I'm just a country girl from Suffolk living with my beautiful daughter, 2 guinea-pigs, 3 cats: EAP The Demonic Moggy, 'El Bandito' and 'Her Royal Highness Princess Pickle-Lily Fuzzy Britches' (yes that is her actual name).
